Key
West
In the Spring
of 1999 my Dad and stepmother arranged a spring break trip for our little
family. My stepsister and I joined them from school and we spent several
days in beautiful Key West. It was alot of fun and Key West is fantastic.
Here's a few pictures from our visit.
 |
Here's
a picture of my stepmother, Sharon, stepsister, Jafia, and me. This
is on the front steps of the house we stayed in. |
 |
Here's
a picture of the back of the house. It was really cute and we shared
a little courtyard with a bunch of other houses. The best was the
closed-in porch. No mosquitos and we could still drink margaritas
outside. |
 |
Here's
Dad, me, Jafia, and Sharon on our fishing trip. We caught a bunch
of little things but mostly it was just a nice day out (but don't
tell that to the boat captain, who I might as well call Ahab, for
how insane he gets when he's hunting down fish). |
 |
Dad,
me, and Jafia are getting ready for the sunset festival. It's at the
western side of the island every day and is usually amusing, though
it's gotten a bit more touristy in the last few years. |
 |
Here's
the sunset. Yes, that's why everybody goes to the festival. Gorgeous,
huh? |
 |
And
you might not be able to see me, but I'm there against the big tree.
I just like the big knots of roots. |
 |
And
here's one of the lighthouses on the island. Key West is a great place
for a vacation, it's so peaceful (well, minus the spring breakers). |
