Renaissance Faire

In 1998 I was lucky enough to be a performer in the Northern CA Renaissance Pleasure Faire (or RPFN for short).  It was a huge event which I will not even attempt to describe here.  Anyway, I was a member of the Guild of St. Cuthbert and I worked with the good Dr. Kaos in the Mask of the Tudor Rose group.  We performed fairy tales and legends in the street and for the Queen as well.  It was great fun!

There I am waiting for the morning parade (that's me in the middle with the hat).
This is me lifting my skirt for another passer-by.  Actually, it's just the top skirt and I'm showing off the "goth in disguise" pins that I made as favors.  They were very popular and I ended up giving more than 30 of them away.
This is the view from the morning parade.  Oooo....
And here are the players of the Tudor Rose (aka Kaos Commandos).  Unfortunately our leader's head seems to have been cut off, but starting from the top left, in a circle, Kevin (Dr. Kaos), Ellen (Lilinah), Mike, me, Noel, Melissa, Marion, and Greg.
This is lunch in the guild yard (except for c0g, he's just stealing food). :-)
This is our lovely and gracious Queen Elizabeth.  We performed for her almost every day and she was great.
Here we are actually performing for the Queen.  I believe I was being duped into taking Mike's place in the "sack" to be wed to some rich prince/princess, only to find out that the bad people were going to throw me into the water to drown.  Lovely tale, isn't it?
And here's Kim and Kevin looking lovely(with much help from Noel's costuming).
Here's the "dead" walking through the streets saving the shire from the plague.  Because if you're already dead, then death cannot take you.
